Walk At Taughannock Falls Park
Lunch At The Falls Restaurant
ABOUT TOWN: WALK & LUNCH
Taughannock Falls State Park's namesake waterfall is one of the outstanding natural attractions of the Northeast. Taughannock Falls plunges 215 feet past rocky cliffs that tower nearly 400 feet above the gorge. The Gorge Tails offers spectacular views from above the falls and from below at the end of the gorge trail.
Join us for the one mile walk up The George Trail to the base of Taughannock Falls. The trail is relatively flat and easy to navigate. The walk will be led by Josh Teeter, Park Environmental Education Supervisor. Discussion will include the history and geology of the area. There is no charge for the walk. Parking on Tuesday is also free.
After the walk, those who wish will gather at The Falls Restaurant in Trumansburg. Regulars refer to it as T-burg’s living room, because the chatter is always friendly and the atmosphere relaxed, offering guests a delicious, affordable dining spot. We will pay our own charges for lunch.
You may join for the the walk and lunch or either activity. Please select the activities when you register.
Guests are welcome to join us.
If you would like to ride-share, please call the LLH Office at (607) 319-0162. We will try to find a ride for you.
